What we do
We meet regularly, as a group, in a relaxed and informal way to talk, listen and share with each other issues that may be affecting our lives. We exchange experiences and issues whilst undergoing diagnosis, treatment or post treatment.
We may invite specialist speakers to talk to us about a wide range of subjects, ranging from medical, motivational and educational to general interest.
We liaise with health and support group professionals to ensure we are updated on the latest tratment developments and other issues related to prostate cancer, prostate health and general health.
We will contact other local, county and national prostate cancer organisations and groups to support our aims, particularly awareness and early screening campaigns. We believe this is important in the fight against prostate cancer and other prostate issues.
How we do it
We will vary our meetings with guest speakers and internal discussions
We will signpost to the relevant clinicial professionals in regard to taking part in clinical trials and research.
We have the opportunity for a cuppa and informal chat at every meeting to ensure we ahave athe chance to share any concerns and experiences and can support each other.
1 in 8 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer.
You are not alone.
